PHONE PHOTOGRAPHY MASTERCLASS

THE VISUAL STORYTELLER IN YOUR POCKET: YOUR PHONE!

I offer Phone Photography Masterclasses (PPM) for United Nations staff around the world. I’ve successfully trained over 350 people from different organizations, such as UNESCO, WFP, RCO, IOM, UNDP, UNFPA, UNAIDS, UNICEF and more. Countries include Cameroon, Gabon, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon and Jordan.

I’ve developed my very own methodology and material. It’s based on “The camera is only as good as you are” - It is all about training the eyes how to see, thus the learned skills can be also easily transferred to a professional camera.

I facilitate PPM in-person and via Zoom if necessary.

WHY DO WE NEED A PHONE PHOTOGRAPHY MASTERCLASS?

International organizations and NGOs often struggle to deliver high quality visual material and stories from the field, showcasing the impact of their work and the stories of human lives changed thanks to their projects.

Sending a professional photographer on assignment often costs more than the budget allows. What’s more, it would just provide a snapshot of a particular moment in time and would not assure the continuous flow of visual material which is necessary in today’s world of communication dominated by social media.

This visibility gap negatively affects fund raising, donor support, and the organization’s image.

Training field staff and country offices to produce a steady flow of visual material for use by (and in collaboration with) the organization’s communication department, is the efficient and effective way in which organizations can close this gap.
